Scan Your Own Negatives. A Complete Camera-Scanning Setup for 35mm.
Camera scanning is the fastest way to digitize film at home. A digital camera with a macro lens photographs each negative over an even light, in a fraction of the time a flatbed takes. VALOI’s 360 system, launched on Kickstarter in 2020, makes that process quick, flat and repeatable. This kit has everything except the camera and a stand or tripod. The steel Advancer lifts the film about 5 cm above the light, so dust falls out of focus, and its rubber rollers and knurled knobs move the roll frame by frame without you handling the film. The 35mm Holder guides the film through a double S-curved track that keeps it flat. The frosted Diffuser evens out the light and softens dust, and the CineStill CS-Lite gives a bright, even, USB-powered light. This is the early version of the Advancer, sparingly used, with minor marks; the light works as it should. For the photographer who wants to stop paying for lab scans, or anyone building a home film workflow.
