The Pro's Second Body. Built for Work, Ready for Film Today.
Introduced in 1994 as a sharper, faster version of the F90, the F90X, sold as the N90s in North America, was the camera countless professionals carried alongside, or instead of, Nikon's flagship. It refined everything: faster and more accurate autofocus, shutter speeds in third-stop steps up to 1/8000, flash sync at 1/250, 4.3 frames per second and improved weather sealing. The F90 series was also the first Nikon to use distance information from D-type lenses for 3D flash metering. Its reputation reached well beyond the press pit: Kodak built its DCS 420 and DCS 460 digital cameras on it, and NASA used N90s-based Kodak digital systems on the Space Shuttle and the International Space Station. This example is fitted with the MB-10 vertical grip, which adds a portrait-orientation shutter release and a fuller hold. In Very Good condition, it shows light signs of use. For the photographer who wants a dependable AF body for their Nikkor lenses, or anyone looking for professional build at an accessible price.
