Canon's Professional Flagship. Six Frames a Second, Sealed Against the Elements.
From 1994 until the EOS-1V replaced it in 2000, the EOS-1N was the camera Canon built for professionals who could not afford a missed frame. The HS version pairs the body with the Power Drive Booster PB-E1, lifting continuous shooting from 3 to 6 frames per second and giving it the solid, balanced heft of a true sports and news machine. The specification still reads like a professional brief: shutter speeds from 30 seconds to 1/8000, flash sync at 1/250, five-point autofocus, 16-zone evaluative metering alongside partial and spot modes, a 100 percent viewfinder, and weather-resistant seals around the buttons, dials and lens mount, added at the request of working photographers. It was also the foundation for Kodak's early EOS DCS digital cameras. This example comes in its original box. In Very Good condition, it shows light signs of use. For the photographer who wants a no-compromise film body for their EF lenses, or the collector who appreciates Canon's 1990s professional line.
